RainBowieWhat it does
RainBowieBot visits public event listings, such as a venue's or Pride organiser's events page, so the events can appear in the RainBowie app with a link back to the source. It only reads pages that are public and only the pages it has been pointed at. It doesn't follow links across the web, log in, or fill in forms.
How to recognise it
Requests carry this user agent:
RainBowieBot/1.0 (+https://rainbowie.app/bot)
It respects robots.txt
Before fetching a page, RainBowieBot reads your robots.txt and follows rules for RainBowieBot or *. To block it from your whole site:
User-agent: RainBowieBot
Disallow: /
Fetched pages are cached only for a limited time, and events always link back to the original listing.
