The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name], [registered address]. By creating an account you accept them, the community guidelines and the privacy policy.
Your account
- You must be [16 or 18] or older.
- One person, one account. Keep your sign-in email secure.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account.
What you post
You keep ownership of your reports, reviews, posts and photos. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show them in RainBowie and to use them to calculate safety bands and ratings. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already relied on in aggregate, such as a neighbourhood's band.
What you post must follow the community guidelines. We may hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, that break them.
Safety information
Safety bands, reports and legal summaries come from the community and public sources. They are a guide, not a guarantee. Conditions change quickly. Always use your own judgement, check official travel advice, and contact local emergency services if you are in danger.
Paid features
- Posting an event costs €5. A moderator reviews it before it goes live. [refund rule if an event is rejected]
- Business plans are monthly subscriptions, billed by Apple or Google. Cancel any time in your store account settings; the plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments never change ratings, safety bands or rankings. Promoted items are always labelled.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Businesses
If you claim a business, you confirm you're authorised to act for it and that what you tell us is true. We verify businesses before they get a badge, and we can remove a claim if verification fails or the information turns out to be false.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the guidelines, and we'll tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk.
Liability
[Liability clause to be written with legal counsel. It must not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that can't be excluded by law.]
Law and disputes
[Governing law and courts.] If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's consumer law.
